I am riding a steel Wayfarer built by Spa Cycles in Starbeck near Harrogate, Yorkshire. I originally had a regular flat mountain bike handlebar but have switched to a Surly Moloko for a bit of sweep angle on the grips.
The front panniers, rack bag and handlebar bag are Ortlieb, whilst the rear panniers are Altura. The Alturas are more marketed more towards commuting, but they are definitely waterproof so let’s see how they stand up to a tour.
I have added some small water bottle holders to the handlebars for easy access and added oversized bottle holders to the frame for extra capacity.
I have my first ever leather saddle, a Brooks B17, which so far I am getting on with quite well.
